Good Times in CT

Almost two weeks have passed since my vacation to NY. I'm just now getting some free time to sit down and write about it. The weather was awesome! I think the weather put me into a mood I've never been in before. I couldn't remember the last time that my body just felt like it was floating all the time. I was in this crazy zone where I felt so light with not a care in the world.
As soon as I heard news that my grandmother was ill, I booked a ticket to visit her and my family in CT. It's been 9 years since I last visit. Stamford was where I went. Life there seems so slow. Definitely a change in pace from Houston's busy everyday life. I would like to retire somewhere up there. Very peaceful.
I had a pretty good time. Didn't do much. We went to Chinatown in Manhattan a few times. Mostly to buy groceries. I didn't get to see Time Square until the night before I left, but it was awesome. Too many lights! I also got to go to Mohegan Sun Casino. I had a great time there. Lost some money, but that's what it's all about. There's no way I'd think I'd go home with a postive cash flow.
Funny story, I gave my cousin $10 to play the 25 cent slots and she made $30 out of that. Even funnier cuz she accidentally hit the "play 3" button and not the single. However...she did win so that was awesome. My uncle played the roulette table and came away a big winner. While at the roulette table, I met this one girl and was talking to her for a lil while before she made her was into the roulette table. She was pretty hot. I also met these two girls while playing the slots. One was a white chick, blonde hair, and her friend was hispanic white curly black hair (just how I like them...hahaha). I talked to them for a lil while, but had to take off before I lost too much money sticking around. See...I have discipline...hahaha.
It was also nice getting to talk to one of my cousin. She's about the only one who I can see eye to eye on things. I really wish I could take her under my wings and show her more of what life has to offer. I feel she's been so shelter. I guess it's not her fault cuz she's got wierd medical conditions that makes her dependant on others. Not that she's retarded or anything. Just another average looking girl. But she's one cousin that I really like. I really wish she would come and live with me so I can expose her more to the world.
Overall, I had a really good time. Spent lots of time talking with my very much chatty aunt. Even picked up my aunt from Vietnam who came to the US for the very first time. Pretty good timing cuz she came while I was there. Otherwise...all I know of her is from pictures. Got my cousin to open up to me, had a great time with one of my uncle, and most important got to see my grandma.

Different

If we're afraid to be different...how can we make a difference in the world?
